Notices for Sunday 27th September
This sunday we celebrate Harvest Festival will be Sunday 27th September and we are collecting donations of food for The People's Kitchen. There will be a collection point on the church field from 12.30pm-1.30pm on that day. They are glad to receive all sorts of packet food, including cooking ingredients (flour, rice, cooking oil) and tinned fruit and vegetables, puddings, soups, cereals and drinks and biscuits. Sweets would also be very welcome, as well as toiletries, household items (dishcloths, washing up liquid, washing powder, kitchen rolls etc.) Owing to the generosity of previous donors they do not need tinned beans or pasta!
At the present time they particularly request:
· Tinned Chilli
. Tinned Curry
· Tinned Meatballs
· Tinned Bolognese
· Tinned Burgers
· Tinned Potatoes
· Tinned Pies
· Long life milk
· Jars of Italian, Indian & Chinese cooking sauces
· Bottles/Cans of drinks
Parish Walk on Sunday 27th September CANCELLED!
Unfortunately the new restrictions mean that we cannot invite people to walk together, even in groups of six. If the weather is good that day why not go for a walk and take your camera or smart-phone and find something to photograph that you would like to share, perhaps a quirky shot of a familiar local place, or a particular view or sight you think is beautiful and which others would enjoy! We will make an album of submissions which we can then share on our website!
A lot of people like a take-away from time to time but fast food creates a lot of litter which cannot be recycled, not least because it is contaminated with food. Check with your local take-away if they use compostable packaging but if not, take your own container for them to put your food in. Jenny Germain

If you are not a member of the Planned Giving Scheme and have sent a donation for general use in recent weeks which you would like to Gift-Aid, please let me know. I will then send you a Gift-Aid Declaration form, either by post or e-mail. Once completed this will enable any recent or future donations to be Gift-Aided without the need for any further paperwork. Alternatively, but for future donations only, you could put your donation in a white Gift-Aid envelope. These are available at church, or I can send you some. Gift-Aiding increases the value of your gift by 25%. John Telfer Tel: 0191 2810938 e-mail: email@example.com
